The Journey to Datura
From an early age, I was captivated by the transformative power of beauty—not merely as an observer, but as one who perceives the extraordinary within the ordinary. While others saw images, I witnessed possibilities; where they found objects, I discovered stories waiting to be told.
My path was illuminated at seventeen when a kindred spirit recognized what I had yet to see in myself. Through her guidance, I discovered my authentic voice at Sint Lucas Brussels. Though fate took her away, her grandmother's words became my north star:
"Never give up on your dream."
This mantra led to a pivotal encounter with Helmut Newton, whose insight proved prophetic:
"Many people look, but few truly see. You see."
Victory at Photo Magazine's prestigious competition catapulted my work across 80 countries—the first Belgian artist to achieve such recognition. What followed was a decade of international acclaim: collaborations with Tigi International, accolades in London, partnerships with global luxury brands.
Yet commercial success, while validating, felt incomplete. The raw essence that had first ignited my passion called me toward something more profound—an expression unbound by convention or expectation.
Thus, Datura was conceived.
For eight years, I cultivated this vision—a realm where art transcends visual boundaries to engage all senses simultaneously. A space where music, scent, taste, and touch converge to create not merely an exhibition, but a transformation.
The world took notice. From Cannes Film Festival to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Datura began its journey. Then, amid global stillness, a poem about The Poison Garden revealed the final piece—the perfect synthesis of nature, technology, and spirit.
Today, Dawn of Echoes stands as an invitation to experience art in its most complete form—a journey through elemental realms that awakens forgotten connections and creates memories that resonate long after the experience concludes.
Welcome to a world where art is not observed, but lived.
